No-code automation

Building automated workflows by connecting apps visually, without programming, in tools such as n8n, Make or Zapier.

A no-code workflow is a chain of steps: a trigger (a new email, a form submission) followed by actions (summarise it with AI, add a row to a spreadsheet, post to Slack). You configure each step in a visual editor.

Adding a model as one of the steps lets these workflows read, classify and write text. It is a fast way to automate routine work, but costs and reliability need watching as volumes grow.

Example: Every time someone fills in the contact form, the workflow sends the message to a model to classify it as “quote”, “support” or “other”, adds a row to a spreadsheet and posts to Slack if it is a quote.

In practice

  • Start with a frequent task with clear rules and little risk.
  • Ask the model for structured output so the next steps do not break.
  • Turn on error alerts: workflows break silently.
